CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA - With less than one month to go until the Creative Angels Fashion Benefit (CAFB) celebrates its eighth annual fashion show at the iconic River Club in Cape Town, anticipation is mounting. Promoting the proudly South African spirit of Ubuntu, the platform maintains its preferred status as a springboard for youth in the country to connect with creative career opportunities.
Date: Saturday 26 October 2019
Time: 15h00 - 17h00
Venue: The River Club, Observatory, Cape Town
Tickets available online: qkt.io/cafb2019
CAFB is well known for breaking down barriers for creative and performing artists who want to achieve recognition and earn an income from doing what they love most. The #CAFB2019 event is proudly sponsored by CityVarsity Cape Town, Serendipity Tours, My xTsy Clothing, Cape Town Comedy Club, River Club Cape Town and the Slug & Lettuce at River Club (who will also be preparing a
delectable and proudly South African tasting menu for VIP guests after the main programme).
Guests can expect a broader fashion and entertainment line-up this year, including emerging designers and boutiques from Johannesburg and Cape Town, namely Moonfyre Designs, Melos Botik, Afro Rapablik and more. The highly anticipated award-winning dances for the evening will be performed by Malvin’s Dance Company, featuring outstanding youth talent straight out of Bonteheuwel. Vocal artist, Sibongiseni Wani, will pay tribute to some of our nation’s greatest musicians, including Vicky Sampson and Mango Groove.
A little something special has also been prepared by the CAFB’s event management team, Perana Set Design, as, for the first time in history, guests will be viewing a fashion show performed on a custom built structure inspired by Madiba’s Rainbow, the South African National Flag.
Standard tickets cost just R300, and VIP R600, allowing the event’s young performers to begin earning remuneration for their hard work and remarkable talent, keeping them on this constructive path in life. More than R15 000 in prizes are being given away to lucky guests, including the CAFB’s coveted 12-month programmes in Fashion Model Training and Fashion Business Development.
This makes the event one of the country’s few ongoing programmes providing genuine life-changing opportunity to its guests.
This event is the perfect atmosphere for aspiring creatives, young adults who want to be surrounded by creative talent and find working opportunities to grow within the industry. SMMEs and independent entrepreneurs also have the opportunity to invest in sponsorship packages from as little as R1000 to take full advantage of the brand’s eight year running track record and trusted reputation to connect with both businesses and consumers to win more work. Model agents and talent scouts are also invited to scan the runway for their next generation of fresh faces.
