We are looking for an Admin/Accounts Officer based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
As an Admin/Accounts Officer you will be an integral part of establishing one of H&M’s newest and most exciting production markets. We are looking for someone who has good knowledge of the full office operations and can be involved in different projects developing our operation with focus on efficiency and growth.

It employs more than 161,000 employees around the world with its production head office in Hong Kong. We have chosen Ethiopia as the hub of our East Africa operations and have made it the target of our biggest purchases in the coming many years. It has been about four years since we are operational in the country/region and Ethiopia-made clothes are already being sold in many of our stores across the world.
What will you do?
Primarily You Will
In this role, you will be engaged through a wide range of office operation tasks to ensure smooth functioning of the office.
Ensure daily operations are executed, e.g. access control, purchasing and maintenance of office supplies, car and fuel management
Liaise with different ministries, immigration office to process official papers.
Facilitate and coordinate travels
Liaising with vendors to benchmark costs and price negotiation
Support renovation and relocation projects
Monitor and ensure maintenance work is done proactively and/or repair is carried out within the quickest timeframe
Assist Ad Hoc Projects – Sourcing potential venues for external meetings, including dinner options as well as launching in-house employee events
Work with Operations Manager to improve operations, streamline admin procedures for an improved internal process
Together with our Accounting Responsible ensure correct and on-time payments and bookings
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and tax requirements
Support the Supply Chain Production team with information and guidance concerning Admin/Accounting/Operations Routines
International employee and visitor’s administration eg. Housing, work permit, resident ID, visa
Participate in the different kind of HR projects/operations
Who will you work with?
In this role, you will join a dynamic and energetic team based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. You will be part of the operations team and report to the Operations Manager. You will interact regularly with colleagues based locally as well as across the globe.

How long is the contract duration?
Focus for this role is to cover for our current Admin/Accounts Officer’s absence for 6 months (January – June 2017) Dates can potentially be discussed based on needs.
However, depending on performance and skillset of the candidate there might be possibility of contract extension (i.e. changing the contract type to a long term local contract).
