Description

To manage the technical performance (physical / colour), the development of fabrics / componentry and processes used in the finished Lingerie product.

• Innovation - Keep abreast with new and innovative raw materials and methods.

• Promote Good Business journey principles at any given opportunity

• Approve / manage raw material approval process (base test approval/lab dips/strike offs/bulk approvals) as per critical path.

• Ensure product due diligence is conducted by frequent visits and collating information from the supply base, stores, RTV warehouse and via interaction with the many customer feedback forums.

• Update and Implement Woolworths performance standards and testing guideline for all product type • Assist suppliers in understanding and adhering to the Woolworth's systems and performance / quality requirements.

• Compile post seasonal analysis on supplier and product performance relating to Quality metrics (RTV's, Complaints, Rejections etc)

• Work closely with customer services and stores to receive frequent and immediate feedback to quality and other technical aspects (e.g. Product Durability)

 • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective input to and delivery

 

Technical Skills:

• A recognised tertiary qualification in textile or clothing management.

• 2 to 3 years textile industry experience

• Retail/Manufacturing experience would be an added advantage

• Computer Literacy

• Sound knowledge and expertise of raw material technology and manufacturing process

• Understanding of garment construction

• Quality orientation

• Customer orientation

• Strong communication skills

• Strong analytical ability

• A deep appreciation of the Woolworths Clothing product and brand ethos
