Sponsored by Africa Fashion & Cultural Week, the Africa Fashion Week in Amsterdam is set to take place on August 24th & 25th, 2018 at the World Fashion Center. The WFC is the meeting-point for the national and international fashion industry in Amsterdam, where shops, brands and wholesalers make for a well-rounded shopping experience.

Kicking off on Friday, August 24th, Africa Fashion Week Amsterdam will be comprised of ethnic runway models, designer houses, artists, painters and authors promoting Africa’s rich cultural heritage by ways of fashion, art and design. Set to the theme of “The substance of things not seen” and following the dress code of African Royalty, the AFW 2018 promises to be an exciting event full of inspirational characters from the world of fashion.

Multi-award-winning Nigerian actor, Ramsey Nouah, will be presenting the inspirational craft category and several motivational speakers will inspire you with keynote presentations of interest. Exotic food stalls will keep you nourished throughout the event and should you happen to have loaded up on African specialities a tad too much, you will be able to dance off any extra calories once Afro-pop-jazz singers take to the stage to the get the party started.

Located at the Wilhelminaplein Amsterdam, the WFC is centrally situated. From here you will be able to visit exciting landmarks such as the Van Gogh museum, the world famous Vondelpark and, of course, the Waterlooplein and its vintage markets
