Weekends are the time we disconnect from all things work related and immerse ourselves in fun, relaxing and creative activities that allow us to recharge and let go of the weeks’ frustrations. If you are based in Gulu, Uganda and are looking for an exciting event to attend this weekend, you can’t miss out on the StarFace Camp, which will be held under the theme, “Expression”, on May 17th at the Caribbean Grill.
StarFace Camp – “where creativity meets humanity” – is on a mission to promote sustainable, socio-economic development through the arts: music, theater, poetry, fashion, graffiti/painting, photography and cinematography. This weekend’s “Expression” edition, will feature exciting workshops, showcases, battles and exhibitions that celebrate local talents and support aspiring artists in honing their skills.
StarFace Camp is a creative, multicultural platform dedicated to furthering artistic and technological education and developing career competency. The organization is led by industry professionals who share their knowledge in classrooms and workshops, and connect students with local projects, businesses and organizations in a bid to provide a stepping-stone from which participants can develop their careers.
The organization offers several short certificate courses, including for fashion design and modelling. If you’d like to learn more about these courses, be sure to attend this weekend’s “Expression” festivities to get a feel of StarFace Camp’s work and accomplishments. The entrance is free and the event will be starting at 2PM in partnership with Lamaro Studio and Northern Hits.
