Talks, Panel Discussion & Exhibitions on The Future of Sustainable Fashion via Fast Forward 2030
As if we weren’t already excited enough about the London Fashion Week coming up on September 17th, the newly launched Sustainable Bankside II will become the home for The Future of Sustainable Fashion at this year’s event. Many of us have often considered what a sustainable future in fashion might look like as far ahead as 2030, and that is exactly what this event will be exploring through talks, panel discussions and exhibitions that are set to inspire innovative ideas, responsible consumption and production processes.
Organized by Fast Forward 2030, The Future of Sustainable Fashion will feature important speakers who will be discussing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are of particular importance in terms of a sustainable future in the fashion industry. These will be focused on SDG 1: Eradicating poverty; SDG 5: Gender equality; SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth, and SDG12: Responsible consumption and production.
Speakers include Aisling Byrne, founder and CEO of The Nu Wardrobe, a community-centered online platform that allows people to share clothes with friends and other Nu members, and Kresse Wesling, co-founder and director of Elvis & Kresse. With a focus on rescuing raw materials and transforming them into luxury lifestyle accessories, Elvis & Kresse donates 50% of its profits to charities. Other speakers are set to be confirmed soon.
Secure your tickets at an early-bird price now, and you’ll have access to the talks, a panel discussion and a Q&A session, as well as networking opportunities with board members of Fast Forward 2030. The event will be catered by Elsyia Catering & Toast Ale, who will be providing free, ethical and sustainably sourced drinks and canapés.
