The National Bargaining Council for the Clothing Manufacturing Industry (the Council) is registered with the Department of Labour as per the Labour Relations Act No. 66 of 1995.
Our main functions of the Council:
● Conclude and enforce collective agreements
● Prevent and resolve labour disputes
● Establish and administer funds and schemes including dispute resolution, pension, provident, medical aid, sick pay, holiday, unemployment and training schemes or funds
● Establish and promote training and education schemes
● Comment on policy and legislation that may affect the industry
● Determine matters of issue for the purposes of strike or lockout at the workplace
● To establish Regional Chambers, Executive and or special committees and delegate rights, powers and duties to such chambers and committees
