Trevor is the director of trading of Oxfam Ireland and has been with them for an incredible 37 years! Trevor joined Oxfam in Belfast as a volunteer during the Ethiopian Famine in 1984. He worked for a year in Oxfam headquarters in Oxford in 1985 before returning to Belfast to open the first Oxfam Furniture shop in 1986. After spending a few years as a Peripatetic Shops Manager responsible for Fair Trade Trevor moved on to become a District Retail Manager before taking on his current role as Trading Director. In the 37 years Trevor has worked with Oxfam he has gained immense experience at every level of Charity Retail management, and he has served as chair of the Irish Charity Shops Association for several years. Trevor’s role as Trading Director is one of the key five Director roles in Oxfam Ireland. This key five Directors comprise the Oxfam Ireland Leadership Team who are responsible for the strategic direction of the whole organisation.
