Job Description:

To effectively design and create interactive media to meet specific commercial and promotional needs of Newsclip Media Monitoring.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Create new concepts, designs and sample layouts;
  • Produce still and animated graphics, as required;
  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, and select style and size of type;
  • Create visual imagery for public holidays or celebrated days (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day etc.);
  • Create company templates for internal and external corporate documents;
  • Create images for social media platforms;
  • Position typography and art elements from a variety of databases in a visually appealing way for print and web pages;
  • Create external client mailers;
  • Strong communications skills to discuss concepts, design layout and work flow with  Management and stakeholders;
  • Develop the interaction between the user and the product;
  • Operate desktop publishing software to design, layout, and produce interactive media;
  • Maintain an archive of images, photos and all work;
  • Photograph relative events taking place at Newsclip;
  • Prepare and export various types of files for printing or digital purposes;
  • Research new software or design concepts;
  • Collaborate with graphic artists and writers to produce designs according to specifications;
  • Edit graphics and photos as required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant 3-year degree;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Graphic Designer;
  • Advance working knowledge of Adobe Suite;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Self-motivated and accountable;
  • Excellent communication skills.
