Junior Buyer for Fashion Apparel or Footwear

A retail company based in East London (Cape Town) is seeking a Junior Buyer for fashion apparel or footwear. The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years’ experience as a fashion apparel or footwear buyer, a clean drivers licence and a degree/diploma in Fashion/Textile/Production or Procurement.

Job Description:

• Product analysis
• Presentation of product reviews and analysis of previous seasons
• Analyse products and pricing from competitors
• Interpret global trends in context with the company’s target market
• Provide product feedback based on communication with stores and customers
• Order placement based on agreed up on criteria, targets and policies
• Monitor data integrity of orders captured
• Design promotional activities and window displays based on product relevancy
• Manage supply chain from placement order to delivery
• Weekly analysis of trade against planned sales
