Sales-Assistant for exclusive second-hand designer Fashion store

2nd Take is the leading second-hand Fashion Franchise Group in South Africa, specialising in second-hand top international designer labels and brands. This is a great job opportunity for a fun and fashion loving, well-groomed and enthusiastic individual, who is able to communicate with people from all walks of life.

We are looking for a motivated and driven Sales Assistant, who has a passion for fashion to join our team. CVs which don’t meet the requirements will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity. You will play a key role in our growing company and rotate between our Sea Point and Rondebosch stores, but potentially also help out in other store locations. In this position you will have a strong impact on our business as you will be involved in buying in stock, pricing and merchandising, marketing and liaising with customers and suppliers, amongst other things.

• Decide on new stock to take on
• Price stock and administer it into our system
• Merchandise & design creative window displays
• Administrative tasks
• Stock take
• Identify stock that is not moving and suggest appropriate remedies
• Return stock
• Daily cash ups
• Liaise with customers and suppliers
• Develop and implement new projects from time to time
• Be involved in Sales, marketing and Promotional activities and compile marketing reports for your area
• Stay up to date with fashion trends

Profile / Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of exclusive international top end fashion brands
• At least one years’ experience in fashion retail
• Must be able to work until 19:00
• Attention to detail and a "can do" attitude at all times
• Must have the ability to multitask
• Wellspoken and outgoing
• Solution orientated and uses own initiative
• Must be reliable and target orientated
• Engage others and enjoy interacting with people
• Experience in promotional activities an advantage
• Flexibility
• MS Office
• Deadline driven
• Well organized and able to take a helicopter view
• Be able to work independently as well as within a team
• Enthusiastic and passionate about fashion

This position is based in Cape Town and available immediately and we will pay you a basic monthly salary of R4000 plus commission.
