FASHION

Everyone knows that the fashion world is full of competitive and talented people that are trying to make their name in the business. The clothing industry is one of the hardest industries to work with, due to the abundance of great designs and a key mistake many designers make is that they forget that fashion is a marketplace as well, and being talented is not enough. Therefore, they must educate themselves in business and study the market as well.

We gathered a few tips that you must keep in mind when starting to create your business.

  1. Be prepared for the hard work, be committed and don’t expect to be successful overnight. Remember that all great things take time to build and may take years of work and determination until its’ benefits start showing.
  2. Make a well-detailed plan. Every good entrepreneur knows that a business plan is a must, and comes especially handy on days when you are feeling down and lost. Make sure to detail the company description, its mission, vision, and goals. Write down the product and operation summary so that you can make sure the plan is well thought out.
  3. Organize the numbers. Always remember that cash flow is key and think about how you will raise money. Will you look for investors? Ask for a loan? Use some of your savings? Always remember how important it is to keep your company’s accounting books clean and organized.
  4. Plan through the small details, how will you start to manufacture? Detail every single step to make sure you have the less possible surprises along the way. How will you transport goods? How much economic return will you have? Will the initial investment be enough? This is all very important.
  5. Establish a price model that goes along well with the target of your product. How much revenue are you expecting? Will you give out discounts? Make sure any equipment purchases you need to make are still keeping your business profitable.
  6. Marketing and brand awareness; build the brand strategically, build an online presence, and make sure as many people as possible are hearing and reading about your product. Be sure to give great customer service in order to keep you already hard-earned customers.
  7. Analyze your progress as well as your deficiencies and adjust the plan so that your next period represents even a bigger success!!
