“Build a Brighter Future For Young Adults In Ghana” – A new scholar ship programme has been launched by an American – Ghanaian fashion brand.

T­h­r­eads by Dreads designer and founder Christiana Afotey has set up the scholarship prize in honour of her late mother.

 “This award will carry on part of­ my mother’s nurturing legacy — aide in community re-investment — by giving local ­scholars an opportunity to further their education and contribute to building a brighter future for young adults in Ghana” says Afotey.­

 

Ten qualified students candidates throughout high schools in Ghân will be awarded with Mrs Fedelia Adokailey Mensah Scholarship. Each winner will get $250 in March 2017. However, they won’t know they are selected until a surprise visit occurs to their classroom .

 

Being a qualified candidates for Mrs Fedelia Adokailey Mensah Scholarship, students must be actively participated in Ghanaian high school and must have no more than five showing off late as well as unexcused absences. Owing an impressive attendance records, they need to obtain credit A and B throughout an academic year with GPA 3.0 or above
