The 5th edition of the International Exhibition of African Textile will take place from 18 to 25 November in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), where several textile professionals active in the field of clothing and furnishings will be present. 

The major innovation of this edition is the forum on the theme: "Wearing the traditional African textile in schools", with a view to reflecting on the strategies for profitability of the sector, and the action to be undertaken for the promotion of the African textile in the school environment. According to the director of the event, Antoinette Yaldia, the opening ceremony will feature the production of women's associations and schoolchildren who will parade “in woven and sewn outfits from the different regions of Burkina Faso.” There will be also a sales show at the fair-grounds, and a B to B meeting between professionals, she said.
