Start-up Funding Workshop in Tunisia
The greatest obstacle all startups and first-time entrepreneurs face is securing the necessary funding needed to launch businesses and products. There are many avenues to explore in terms of finding the right money-raising initiative – from micro to big bank loans to crowdfunding, email-marketing to fundraising events – but it’s not always easy deciding on the right approach to follow.
Hosted by The Founder Institute, the Startup Funding Tunisia: How to Raise Money for Your Idea workshop, will provided practical tips on how to secure funding, what pitfalls to avoid and how to approach investors. As the world’s premier pre-seed startup accelerator, The Founder Institute has supported leaders of the world’s fastest growing startups in their quest to raise funds, recruit teams, build products and facilitate the transition from employee to entrepreneur.
The workshop, which will take place on Wednesday, September 11th at the Mediterranean School of Business in Tunisia, will be discussing topics such as:
The anatomy of a fundable business, key metrics and pre-requisites for raising funds
How to enhance your product/service to attract investors
How to use fundraising networks and platforms such as Kickstarter, AngelList and Indiegogo
The best approaches to networking with different sources of capital (venture capitalists, government grants, etc.)
Starting at 6PM, attendants will be welcomed and encouraged to socialize prior to getting down to the business of discussing fundraising opportunities and approaches. The event will kick off with talks from successful entrepreneurs who have successfully raised capital for their startups; these talks will be followed up by a question and answer session.
Following the main event, attendants will receive a formal introduction to Silicon Valley-based The Founder Institute and how it has empowered talented and motivated people build businesses with an impact. To round off this inspiring and educational event, attendants are invited to join the team for follow-up discussions at a local bar or restaurant.
